Trip to Ivanhoe's

I discovered that my husband had never been to Ivanhoe's so I thought we should correct that immediately!  We asked Grampy if he wanted to along and turned it into a fun adventure!
The thing about Ivanhoe's is that you have to be decisive when you go there...with TONS of ice cream options on the menu, you have to pick one and go with it!  Lex got the ice cream sundae clown and thought it was pretty awesome!

I tried their famous strawberry shortcake and was truthfully a little disappointed.  I'd go with one of their many sundae options next time!

After we left Ivanhoe's, we decided to explore the area a little bit since we drove quite a ways just to get a little yumminess!  We found this awesome covered bridge on the Mississinewa River!
This picture of Lex hugging her Grampy's leg is too precious.:)

Alexis was in heaven because she got to throw lots of rocks in the water!

The Cumberland Covered Bridge...a beautiful sight!

Those girls love those guys!!!

They found something to climb!

Swinging like a monkey!

Checking out the bridge a little closer!

Such a neat old bridge!

This plaque told about how the bridge was carried downstream by a flood in the early 1900's.  They returned it to its original position and raised it up 3 feet.  Another flood threatened to destroy it again, but just caused some repairable damage.  This was a fun little summer outing!:)

Ava Lynn: 18 Months Old!

Look at you!  You are getting so big!:)

A little sisterly lovin'...makes Mommy's heart go pitter-patter!

Avey Lynn,

Mommy did a terrible job of keeping the blog updated this summer so I'm writing this post a few months late.:(  So I'm going to update your stats and that's about it!  You went to the doctor and weighed 26 lbs. 10 oz., which put you above the 75th percentile.  That is no surprise because you LOVE yourself some food!:)  You were 32 1/4" tall, which was right at the 75th percentile.  You and your sissy are tall girls!  Your head circumference was 46.5 cm, which was below the 50th percentile.  You grew quite a lot since your one year well check!  You still have pretty small feet and you are wearing size 4 or 5.  You talk all the time!!  You say so many words I can't even count them all and you are regularly stringing phrases together.  You are sweet as sugar and we love you SO very much!

Love,
Your mama:)
