Baby #2: 20/21 Weeks!

Well.  Broken internet + vacation = no baby updates for weeks 20 & 21.:(  Cue the mommy guilt music!  Ha!  I just hate that I've missed it because I love being able to look back, but I'm going to do a very short recap just to prove that I did indeed live through weeks 20 & 21 of my pregnancy with this sweet little girl!:)
Week 20: Nothing major happened this week, except that we made it to halfway!!!  I can't believe we're halfway to seeing our precious baby. This picture was taken with Anna, who would have been about 18 weeks with their sweet little baby Tucker!  Apparently, stripes are all the rage for pregnant women these days.;)

Week 21: Baby girl, you went on your first official trip to Minnesota this week!  Also, Daddy got to feel you move for the first time!!!  That was so exciting.  He loves being able to feel you kicking around in my belly!  Funny story: We were sitting outside on the deck of our cabin one peaceful morning and Daddy was trying to feel you move.  We were just calmly waiting for you to kick around and all of a sudden Daddy shoved himself off my belly with all of his might to go pick your silly sister up off the ground!  She had gotten too close to the edge of the deck and fell about 3 feet to the ground.  She was fine, but you and I were shocked, I think!  You didn't move for a while and I was hoping that you were okay.  You started back up again pretty quickly!  It probably won't be the last time your Sis causes you to get an owie.:)

We've really started to talk about a name for our girl and we have a short list of 4-5 names that we like.  For now, we call her Sissy!  I can't wait to decide on one so I can start calling her by name!:)

4-H Fair 2013

Last week was one of my favorite weeks of the year...4-H fair week!  The weather was absolutely perfect this year so we spent a lot of time at the fairgrounds.  Alexis seemed to love it, too!:)
We had to stop and see the piggies!  This was probably her least favorite animal.
We visited the sheep...
...and the cows!
Mommy and Lex petted the soft sheep together.:)
Daddy and Alexis shared an elephant ear.  She loved it!!!
All the girls watching the cow show together...our most favorite part of the fair!
Lex liked watching the cows!  She even threw a few of her goldfish to them.:)
The girls and me!
Of course, it's not the 4-H fair without a milkshake (or several!).  It was another great year!:)

Minnesota Vacation, Part 4

This is the last of the vacation photos...I think.:)
Bryan and I got to go out fishing together one day.  I love spending time with him!
I caught a grand total of one fish!  But, it was a walleye so that's good.:)
The ?? Edition of the Black Duck Classic!
Alexis absolutely loved playing on the beach.  She literally kicked and screamed when we took her back to the cabin!
Our annual Drewes family photo.  Grandma and Grandpa are celebrating 60 years of marriage this year!
They have been doing some cleaning out and planning ahead for the future so they brought some things to distribute amongst their kids and grandkids.  Grandpa has been collecting ironwood from Mexico for many years and he chose one piece for each of us.  I got a dolphin and Bry got an eagle.  I'll have to get a picture of them!
Grandma brought her crystal collection.  It was fun to listen to her tell about her great aunt Gertrude that gave her a lot of what she has.  She said she barely knew her, but Aunt Gertrude didn't have any children to leave her stuff to!
Here are some of the pieces.  I loved that crystal dish on the pedestal on the left!  It was all so pretty.
Our attempt at a family picture on the beach...someone was NOT happy to be kept from her water play.:)
She loved going down the slide!
One of Aunt Carol's beautiful sunset pictures.
On the way home, we decided to stop for some rest so Lex got to stay in her first hotel!
She did awesome!  She slept in her pack-n-play so I think she felt right at home.
We stopped for lunch at Arby's on the way and Lex was giving her daddy some serious lovin'.  It makes my heart incredibly happy to watch them together!
Hugs from the baby!  If that daddy loved that girl any more, I wouldn't be able to believe it.:)

Minnesota Vacation, Part 3

Even more vacation pictures...
Alexis had lots of quality time with her extended family this week.  Her birthday buddy (Sarah) read her lots of stories!
Bry went out fishing most mornings and caught lots of nice fish!  Walleyes were plentiful this year!
One day, Ralph and Donna let us borrow their pontoon and we anchored on the lake for the afternoon.  Lex loved it!
Alexis and her mama:)
She LOVES swimming with her daddy!
The fam on the pontoon!
Sarah found this Minnie Mouse floatie on sale for $5...so of course Alexis had to have it!;)  She thought it was pretty fun to kick her legs around.
Our little family in Big Turtle Lake!
We might have a little fisherwoman on our hands.  Daddy showed her these leeches and she picked one up like it was no big deal at all!
Alexis ate her breakfast on the porch every morning and then just played until Daddy came in from fishing.  She was always SO happy to see him!
Grandpa did his fair share of reading to Alexis, as well.  She sure loves books right now!

Minnesota Vacation, Part 2

More vacation pictures...
Daddy and Lex went on a walk together!
We had to check out Daddy's big fish!
Alexis got to ride on the merry go round with her daddy...
...and go down the slide!
We have a huge jacuzzi tub in our cabin so Daddy got to be in the tub with the baby!:)
We ran into town one day so we could get our picture taken with Paul Bunyan and Babe the big blue ox.  Alexis didn't really know what to think about those HUGE statues!
It rained on Monday so we decided to take Alexis swimming in the indoor pool.
She had to check out the big kids who were playing in the pool!
She loved it even though the water was freezing!:)

Minnesota Vacation, Part 1!

We are home from another fun vacation in northern Minnesota!  We went back to Kohl's Resort with the whole Drewes family.  This is probably the last year that Great Grandma and Great Grandpa are going to make the looooooooong drive from McAllen, Texas to Bemidji.  Next year, they will probably fly to Cedar Rapids and drive up with Paul and Carol.  Alexis had so much fun and did SO well.  She slept or watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while we were in the car.  She slept like a champ while we were at the cabin all week...she slept 10-12 hours at night and took close to 5 hours worth of naps each day!  She played hard in between and had fun with her family and in the water.  I took lots of pictures so I am going to have several posts about vacation!:)
We left from Pat and Linda's house at about 9pm on Friday night.  We drove through the night (stopped for about an hour at a rest area to "sleep") and got to Bemidji around 3pm on Saturday.  It's a long drive!!!
Alexis did SO well in the car.  She is a great traveler!
We stopped at McDonald's for breakfast and Lex had her first pancake platter.  She was a big fan!:)
Alexis also made her first trip to Cabela's!  We stopped in Rogers, MN to visit it.  She wasn't 100% sure about all of those huge animals!
Daddy showed her all of the cool fish in the aquarium.
Our little family at Cabela's!
It was a beautiful day when we got to the resort!  Bry went down to try out his new reel off the dock.
He caught one!
Me and my handsome hubby!  I loved having lots of time to spend with him last week!:)

More pics to come soon!!!
